Laser Facials

The easiest way to transform lackluster skin into genuinely radiant skin is with a laser facial. These fast and efficient skin-rejuvenating treatments address the unwanted side effects of excessive sun exposure, spots, fine lines, wrinkles, and texture concerns. Laser facials prompt the skin to undergo a revitalizing process, emerging radiant and refreshed with no downtime.

Laser facials are a tried-and-true skincare innovation, offering a spectrum of solutions to address various skin and age-related concerns. IPL Photofacials and Laser Facials are excellent for treating pigmentation, fine lines, and uneven skin tone, while Fractional Skin Resurfacing elevates the treatment to a deeper and more effective total rejuvenation with slightly more downtime.

What is a Laser Facial?

A laser facial is commonly associated with lasers or light-based treatments and relies on specific wavelengths of light energy to enhance the skin. Light is emitted onto the skin during a laser facial to break up existing pigment to refine the skin’s tone and texture. At CARE Esthetics, we use the V-IPL and Fotona for laser facial treatments, which harnesses the power of intense pulsed light to address age spots, vascular lesions, redness, freckles, and sun damage. With a single session, skin emerges with noticeable improvement and enhanced clarity.

During IPL Photofacials, Laser Facials, and Fractional Skin Resurfacing, light is used to produce heat and improve the skin. But where our laser facial treatments differ is in how the light is emitted from each device. The Laser Facial and Fractional Skin Resurfacing with Fotona use both the Er: YAG and Nd: YAG wavelengths whereas the IPL Photofacial with Viora V-IPL uses a unique intense pulsed light technology.

Our Laser Facial Treatments

At CARE Esthetics, we offer a range of different laser facials based upon your skin’s needs. Our most popular treatments include:

IPL Photofacial

Our Viora V-IPL light-based treatment utilizes multiple light wavelengths, which allows it to target various skin issues. The light emitted during an IPL photofacial bypasses the skin’s surface, minimizing the likelihood of side effects and reducing downtime and recovery. This versatility enables an IPL Photofacial to achieve numerous benefits, including enhancing skin texture, addressing pigment and redness on the surface, treating acne and vascular lesions, and more!

On top of all the incredible skin concern fixes, the IPL Photofacial is also known for its ability to help patients in their 20s and 30s get ahead of aging. With its prejuvenation benefits, IPL treatments can prevent the common signs of aging like fine lines, discoloration, and changes in skin texture and laxity. IPL can also improve redness and signs of sun damage, and is a fast, well-tolerated with little to no pain, and downtime-free treatment.

Laser Facial

Much like our IPL Photofacial, the light emitted during a Laser Facial also bypasses the skin’s surface, minimizing the likelihood of side effects and reducing downtime and recovery. Our Laser Facial treatment with Fotona Er: YAG effectively removes moles, age spots, surface scars, facial veins, acne, all while fighting skin aging!

Fractional Skin Resurfacing

Our Fotona Fractional Skin Resurfacing enables incredible regenerative skin results. The Nd: YAG penetrates the deepest layer of the skin tissue to promote collagen formation and restore beautiful, youthful-looking skin. The treatment tightens and smooths the skin without the need for injectables! Fractional Skin Resurfacing is our treatment of choice for deep resurfacing and skin firming and can be used on the eyes, face, neck, and décolleté.

Here at CARE, we pair Exosomes with our Fractional Skin Resurfacing treatments to further harness the regenerative power of the body and greatly enhance the overall results and speed up the healing process. The benefits of combining these two treatments are enhanced healing, dramatic boost in collagen, and reduced inflammation and redness. Achieve faster and more significant results from this perfect pairing!

Who is a Laser Facial
Best For?

Laser facials have evolved significantly since their inception decades ago. Modern devices, like V-IPL and Fotona make laser treatments far more compatible with a wide array of skin tones and types than ever before. Still, we always recommend an in-person skincare consultation before a laser facial to ensure it is appropriate for you.

Laser facials address various skin conditions amongst different skin tones and types. Patients who find laser facials beneficial often struggle with the following:

Laser facials are also an excellent solution for those seeking skin rejuvenation without resorting to more invasive options and wishing to enhance their skin texture while reducing the common signs of aging and increasing collagen production. IPL Photofacials, Laser Facials, and Fractional Skin Resurfacing are non-invasive treatments and are ideal choices for many, especially since the recovery is minimal and little downtime is required.

What Happens During
an IPL Laser Facial?

No matter the reason for undergoing an IPL facial, the following steps typically occur following a consultation.

Depending on your specific goals, a series of IPL sessions may be recommended. Each session builds on the previous ones, gradually improving skin tone, reducing pigmentation, and addressing other concerns.

Common FAQs

While every patient’s skin needs vary, on average, we recommend a minimum of three treatments to address your specific skin concerns. Each treatment is typically spaced about one month apart. Laser facial recommendations include maintenance treatments to ensure long-term results.

The same devices that are used for our IPL Photofacials and Laser Facials are also great options for removing unwanted facial hair. Targeting melanin in the hair follicle addresses facial hair and stunts its standard growth patterns. Given that facial (and body) hair growth rates vary and can be at different points of the hair growth cycle at any given time, a series of treatments is recommended to achieve fuzz-free skin.

Our 3 laser facial options (IPL photofacials, laser facials, and fractional skin resurfacing) offer a myriad of benefits for the face and skin. Targeting pigment within the skin is a go-to solution for minimizing sun damage, redness, and signs of broken capillaries. If acne scarring is a concern, a laser facial can also help lighten post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and reduce the lingering effects of past breakouts. Our most aggressive laser facial, fractional skin resurfacing, can dramatically improve textural concerns and deep wrinkles, revealing rejuvenated and healthy skin beneath.

It’s important to avoid skin irritation, sun exposure, tanning and sunless tanning for three to four weeks prior to treatment. Be sure to use sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 when outdoors during daylight hours. Discontinue any irritant topical agents, like retinols, acids, topical acne treatments, vitamin C, and exfoliants, for three to five days prior to treatment.

Darkening of pigments or “peppering”, mild redness, or skin sensitivity is normal and should go away once the skin is healed. Any redness should subside after 24 to 48 hours. Darkening pigments will resolve in five to seven days for the face and two to three weeks for the body. It is important to allow your skin to exfoliate naturally–do not scratch or pick at dark spots.

The downtime with our fractional skin resurfacing is slightly longer than with IPL photofacials or traditional laser facials, however, still significantly less than fully ablative lasers like CO2 lasers.
